Personal Flock Data Request
I requested data captured of my vehicle by Flock cameras though the county. They claimed they didn't maintain the records and closed the request. I had them open it back up and then send it to the OAG for a decision.

The OAG told Polk County they cannot withhold records simply because a contractor agreement says the information is confidential. Contracts do not override the Texas Public Information Act.
They also said that even if the county claims the exact report requested does not already exist, the county must still make a good-faith effort to search for and provide any records it has access to—including contractor-held data—from which the requested information can be derived.
Because Polk County did not submit the requested records for review, the OAG said it had no basis to withhold anything and ordered that any responsive records accessible to the Sheriff’s Office must be released unless another valid exception applies.
